Prayers & Blessings

A novena is an ancient tradition of devotional praying in Christianity, consisting of private or public prayers repeated for nine consecutive days or weeks.  The nine days between the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost, when the disciples themselves gathered in the upper room and devoted themselves to prayer, is often considered to be the first novena.

What follows is a novena leading up to Pentecost which begins Thursday, May 14, and continues until the Vigil of Pentecost on May 22.  Each day of the novena will highlight one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you check in each day to pray for the Holy Spirit to come into our lives and our country.
