Founder's Day - March 29th

On 29 Mar 2022 we celebrate Founder’s Day, which marks the date on which the Knights of Columbus was granted its charter and we celebrate its Founder – Fr. Michael J. McGivney. Blessed Michael McGivney was inspired to create a band of Catholic gentlemen, devoted to the principles of charity and unity — helping those in need; growing in faith and virtue as Catholic husbands and fathers; and providing financial security to families. We have a Saint in the making since our founder's beatification and his title is now “Blessed Fr. McGivney”.

St. Clare Knights of Columbus Council 16433 held a Baby Bottle Campaign to raise funds for pregnancy centers.

St. Clare Parishioners and the St. Clare Knights of Columbus Council 16433 raised $2000 to donate to the Women’s Resource Center. The center director – Ms. Susan Jones came to St. Clare and talked to our knights about what the center provides and at that time we presented her with our donation.

The primary role of this center is to address the issues for women and pregnancy from pregnancy testing, ultrasound testing, choices, support, amenities, follow up care and support. If you know a woman in need, please have them contact the Women’s Resource Center.

Prior to delivery we will have prayer over the gifts, prayer for those who donated and prayer for those who are in need.

Knights of Columbus – Leave No Neighbor Behind Fund

“…..The Knights, through our Leave No Neighbor Behind initiative, are working hard to provide PPE equipment to hospitals and religious communities serving retirees throughout the world. We are partnering with community food banks to make sure food is available to those who need it. We are donating blood through community blood drives to provide much needed blood to hospitals. We are serving. Our neighbors extend beyond our borders and the Knights are there to help! We are working around the world. Funding Holy Week broadcasts from the Vatican. Supporting hospitals in Italy, and medical support in Middle East.
We jumped into the breach to ensure that our neighbors are cared for in this greatest time of need in recent history.
We can greatly expand these efforts with your help! Are you in a position to donate to this cause?100% of your donation goes straight to the initiatives of Leave No Neighbor Behind.Partner with us in whatever way you can.
