** St. Clare is keeping a close watch on the weather. We will post updates here and on our facebook page. **

Due to the intensity and close proximity of Hurricane Laura, St. Clare Catholic Church will be closed Thursday, Aug. 27th and will reopen Fri., Aug 28th for Mass, weather permitting. Choir practice normally held on Thurs. afternoons has been cancelled. Matthew will be sending an email to all choir members advising them of the cancellation. He will also contact the choir members with the musical selections for the upcoming weekend Masses.

Please keep your family safe, and check on your neighbors. Keep up the prayer to Our Lady for protection!! --Fr. Jacob Matthew Smith, OFM

April 15th, 22nd, & 29th – The Coastal Family Health Center will be testing for the Coronavirus for Hancock County residents from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bay St. Louis Historic Train Depot on April 22 and April 29.  There is no cost for this service.  If you feel like you may have been exposed, make plans to stop by.

Dear Priests, Deacons, Religious, Staff, Faithful of the Diocese of Biloxi, and fellow Christians,

 

The Holy Father, Pope Francis, has invited all members of the Faithful and other Christians to participate in a special prayer on Friday, March 27, 12:00 noon, Central Time. This special prayer will take place in St. Peter’s Square. During this Statio orbis, the Holy Father will grant to all participants the Plenary Indulgence* before imparting the Urbi et Orbi Blessing.

It will be streamed through the Vatican News website, www.vaticannews.va, which we hope to have linked to the Diocesan website, www.biloxidiocese.org.

I ask that you share this with all the faithful in your care.

 

*A Plenary Indulgence, simply put, is the remission of entire temporal punishment for sin granted by the Church, in this case the Holy Father, Pope Francis.
